During 1998 and much of 1999, Dr. Katsis
completed fellowship training in trauma and surgical care at the University
of Tennessee-Memphis, College of Medicine. His fellowship was conducted at
the Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center in Memphis, one of the busiest trauma
centers in the nation.
Dr. Katsis has special interests in
intensive care and trauma surgery, as well as laparoscopic and endocrine
surgery. He is board certified in general surgery and has received added
qualifications in surgical critical care from the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Katsis is a member of the American
Medical Association, the Oklahoma State Medical Association, Tulsa County
Medical Society, the Frank A. Clingan Society, and the Harwell Wilson Surgical
Society. He is currently a course coordinator and certified instructor in
the Advanced Trauma Life Support program.
