Surgical Associates has formed a support group of patients who have had bariatric surgery. The ever growing group meets to talk about problems and challenges they are facing, changes that are happening in their lives, and how they are dealing with these changes. Family, friends, old and new patients, and others interested in investigating bariatric surgery are encouraged to attend the meetings held on the second Tuesday of every month (unless that day is a holiday) at 6 p.m. in the conference room on the fourth floor of the Natalie Building, 6475 South Yale, which is adjacent to the Warren Building. We suggest that you park in the parking garage to the east of the building, parking on the top level and entering the building on the fourth floor.

Each month there is a "Topic of the Month." The meetings, which may vary in format from guest speakers to discuss groups, focus on the selected topic. Click here to review scheduled meetings.

We feel the support group is an important part of the recovery process and enjoy the unique commitment by our entire team to the long-term health and success of our patients.

Surgical Associates also hosts Education Meetings on the first Monday of each month (unless that date is a holiday). Meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. in the fourth floor conference room of the Natalie Building. There is a $25.00 materials fee that must be paid in advance to reserve. Please call 918-481-4801 for mailing information.  Click here to view a schedule.
